The clever writers at Copywriter Collective have been busy in the past couple of weeks, helping leading camera and lighting support designer, Manfrotto, update their online catalogue.
Manfrotto is big in the international world of film and theatre, known for their innovative products and high quality. But this isn’t the beginning of the friendship for us and the folks at Manfrotto. This long-term project has seen the expert team at Copywriter Collective develop a new tone of voice in line with their brand guidelines, and write some super-sharp sales copy for their website, and for Amazon.
This was essential for the brand. With a clear set of guidelines already developed by the in-house marketing team, the copy needed to set the tone, and fit with the company’s overall vision. Both the website and Amazon are key shopping stops for anyone looking for quality photo and lighting equipment. This means that getting it bang on in terms of detail and creating real personality to make the brand sound as sharp as the products they make, was key.
The project started back in July this year, but in the latest burst of writing, we’ve got our heads down and penned over 150 new product descriptions in two weeks, across the brand’s full portfolio. This has included bags, lighting stands and camera supports. Communicating the techy details, and injecting a big dose of Manfrotto’s professional yet personable attitude into the copy has all been part of the brief. Not to mention delivering in good time for Christmas, so the lovely people at Manfrotto can enjoy their break knowing it’s all boxed off as promised.
Onwards and upwards, we’ll be continuing to help fine-tune Manfrotto’s online copy in the new year. But for now, it’s time for us all to take a few well deserved days off.
