Lisa is happy to join a collective of copywriters

Like her yellow-haired cartoon namesake, Lisa comes from a proud family of Simpsons, studied hard at school and actually enjoys her work!
For more than twenty years Lisa has written/taken the creative lead for many brands in integrated campaigns. She began in traditional above the line advertising, working for ad agencies McCann Manchester, CheethamBellJWT, Havas Lynx and then WRG. Now she does lots of digital copywriting, which has included contract spells for Barclays, Bupa and Manchester Metropolitan university in house. She also ghostwrites articles for CEOs of healthcare businesses in the Middle East. She is passionate about maintaining the core of an idea and keeping content engaging in whatever channel she’s writing in.
Although our new Manchester Copywriter is more interested in horses than football, she has respected the passions of her city (or at least half of it) by working with Manchester United football club on various B2B and BTC campaigns as well as other local brands like Manchester airport and Urban Splash.
One past memorable shoot in Cape Town for a Gaviscon TV ad, involved swimming with great white sharks – one of the most excitingly scary things she’s done. The fact that it was done the morning after the wrap party made the experience even more memorable. The sight of chum and a shark’s teeth is very sobering!
She is proud to have created with her art director the little character fondly known as Lemmy by Reckitt Benckiser over 11 years ago in a TV campaign to promote cold remedy Lemsip that shows its strength by still running today
Her words have encouraged grown adults at conferences to recall their egg and spoon race days, inspired students to do a pHd and sold toothpaste. Just tell her the issue you’re advertising and she’ll write the solution. Interesting briefs please!
