I’m a Creative Director

I’m a creative director/copywriter with 13 years of experience on brands ranging from General Motors to Marlboro to Jameson Irish Whiskey to Samsung.

After a career teaching literature and creative writing, I ventured into the world of advertising. It’s been everything I hoped and more (hours and hours and hours of more). I’ve worked on global campaigns, domestic campaigns, launching products and brands from scratch, working in nearly every medium imaginable. I’m an architect and carpenter, thriving most when I can build a brand and get my hands dirty rather than simply carrying a torch. As my earlier history implies, I love mentoring and coaching younger talent – I believe it’s an essential responsibility of any creative director. But in the end, I’m a writer. And words still matter a great deal.
