For 20 years I’ve worked at highly respected ad agencies, creating memorable, award-winning work for brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, HSBC, Honda, and the BBC.
For me, writing is all about communicating an idea. It might be a script, a line, a piece of long copy or an emotive brand manifesto. Form is not important. I simply revel in the power of language to achieve a specific goal; to inform, engage, entertain, educate, inspire or simply to sell. I love to work closely with clients, to solve a particular business problem with a piece of writing. The important thing is to truly understand the brief: what needs to be said and to whom. My task is then to find the right voice and the right words to achieve the best possible result. I’m based in London but I’ve also lived and worked in Amsterdam, New York, and Portland, Oregon.
