Jason Ferguson is an award-winning writer, producer and creative director. He is currently a freelance Creative Director and Sr. Copywriter after full-time positions at R/GA (Ad Age 2015 Agency of the Year) and Big Spaceship (Ad Age 2015 A-List Agencies to Watch). Recent clients include Google, Samsung, Gap, Palantir and Verizon.Jason’s advertising work has focused mostly on video, virtual reality, tech, social, real-time and product launches. His approach to digital is to remember that platforms come and go, but storytelling techniques have been around for thousands of years. The Verge referred to his Samsung videos as “subtle, enigmatic, and really tasteful. I look at them, and I start wishing to meet the humans responsible for putting them together. They seem like real swell people.”His video work on the It Doesn’t Take a Genius campaign for Samsung had over 14 million views, won numerous awards and was featured in over 60 global news publications including The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Daily Mail, Mashable and TechCrunch. Jason is also a theater producer and playwright. His off-West End premiere of the musical Ragtime won the Offie Award and was a Time Out Best of 2011. Jason has worked on over a hundred productions ranging from West End and Broadway musicals to immersive theater in hidden tunnels beneath London’s Waterloo Station. He produced a short film, an experiment in language-free comedy, which has over 600k YouTube views and was an Official Selection at the Dingle Film Festival. Jason did a brief stint as the personal assistant to P. Diddy at Bad Boy Entertainment.Jason has contributed to many publications and is currently writing about the intersection of technology and the performing arts. He was a ghostwriter for the Amazon bestseller Video Marketing for Dummies. He has been a finalist for Glimmer Train literary magazine’s Short Story Award and Very Short Fiction Award.
