My name is Rita Pavide and I am a copywriter in Jurmala – the largest resort town on the Baltic sea coast. It is located 25 km from Riga, the capital of Latvia, and stretches between the Gulf of Riga and the Lielupe River. Now it is the main resort of Latvia, which grew out of a simple fishing village.
Jurmala is a fantastic resort with a healing climate, beautiful beach and incredible nature. It is this unique combination of three recreation areas — sea, forest and cultural – which gives Jurmala its bright and unique character, which was formed over the centuries.
It is worth mentioning that Jurmala is one of the largest health resorts in the Baltic States. Nowadays Jurmala resort is a great place for recovery and a relaxing holiday on the coast. People come here for peace and quiet. You can look at the pine trees, walk on the sand, bask in the sun and ride a bike on the edge of the coast.
In terms of my professional life – I have experience dealing with clients in a variety of different kinds of businesses and business texts, including market research and translation, writing SEO-friendly website text, Google AdWords campaigns, meta tags (titles and descriptions), emails, letters and editing/proofreading website text, scriptwriting for audio or video including TV, radio, Instagram, Twitter etc. I have a Master’s degree in Marketing from John Moores University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
I have three permanent clients – one is a company which offers airport ski transfers, the second company offers short-term to long-term fast loans, and the third one is a UK e-pharmacy.In the past, I have worked with a lot of interesting companies both as a freelance copywriter for marketing agencies and by myself. I had a very interesting client – Latvian based blockchain technology company. Then I started to write for them, the topic was totally unfamiliar to me, but at the same time, that was an exciting challenge.
The best thing about being a copywriter is to write a strong text about different topics describing the company or service, so that would be interesting to read. The copywriter’s task is to make the client warmer to the customers and make them feel like, hey, maybe THESE GUYS CAN HELP me.
I have also met a lot of interesting people who are passionate about their work and want to describe it in the best possible way. My favourite client is Latvian-based airport transfer provider – they are offering their services to all ski resorts in France, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. I am writing articles about ski resorts and route descriptions, newsletters, and translations.
The piece of work I am most proud of is an online casino website Blue berry casino.com, because that was the very first website I wrote all content on myself – from A to Z.
